The Dog will never let you down. Born under this sign they are honest, and faithful to those they love. They are plagued by constant worry, a sharp tongue, and a tendency to be a fault finder, however. They would make an excellent businessman, activist, teacher, or secret agent. A dog can be a loyal friend. A person born on this year would be loyal and quick to learn. Those born these years are usually honest and loyal and help people. They play fair and they are very important .

Of all the signs the Dog symbolizes honor and justice. The honorable Dog is the sign most likely to speak out about wrongs in the world and to call for justice. They have a strong sense of fair play and are usually forthright and outspoken. This makes them the perfect spokesperson for those who can’t or won’t speak up for themselves. They are most likely a valued member of their family as well as their community. They tend to be very protective of family members and are likely to enjoy celebrating their country’s independence day with their family. Loyalty and patriotism are near and dear to their heart. They respect the flag and are moved in their heart when the national anthem is played at a sporting event. Although they are outspoken, they are not one to rail against their country, and they are discreet and can be trusted to hold what we tell them in confidence.

The Dog is perhaps the most pessimistic sign in the Chinese zodiac. They have a tendency to look at what is wrong with things or at what they might be lacking. This causes them anxiety and makes them fret excessively, especially during those times when they don’t think they are good enough for whatever. When they fail to solve the problems of the world they might become bitter and cynical.

A born worrier, the Dog people can sometimes bark and bite at those around them, or become highly critical of others who do not share their same highly developed sense of honor and duty. Conversely, Dogs may become quiet, cool and judgemental with loved ones who arouse their anger, but they will always remain devoted.

Although young Dogs are apt to find fault at every passing injustice, the more mature will usually grow less anxious and take matters far less seriously as they age. Their basic ideal of guarding against the wrongs of society as a whole stays with them, however. It is certainly always the Dog who can be relied upon to speak up for the disenfranchised and downtrodden.

The Dog In Relationships

Their sense of loyalty, plus their sincerity and kindness, makes them a most desirable friend. In fact they are almost as concerned and protective of their friends as they are of their family. They are not a materialist but rather one who derives the most pleasure from love and family. Their concern extends to all humanity, and they are altruistic by nature. They prefer to use their material gains to help others. Their other gentler qualities include the fact that they most often are slow to anger yet quick to recover. They are not one to nag and nitpick. Rather, they tend to be in control of their emotions. They also have excellent powers of discernment. In other words, they choose their battles carefully. This makes them easy to get along with on a day to day basis and a valued team member at work.

When it comes to individual people, they are usually slow to form judgments; however, there often is a narrow mindedness to their way of thinking. They tend to see things in black and white. And, when they make a judgment, they tenaciously cling to their ideas and rarely change their mind. They are also rather thick skinned; however, they can be extremely suspicious or defensive when a family member or friend is potentially threatened or actually attacked either verbally or physically. Sometimes their anger flares up almost instantaneously and violently as their protective urge moves them to action. On the other hand, their reserved nature can actually be a negative in family matters. They tend to be subdued, not one given to continuous displays of affection. There may however be times when family members require more warmth than they provide. There is one other way they can inadvertently hurt the people around them.

Their sense of justice often causes them to make judgments about others and to criticize their actions or motivations. Furthermore, they sometimes rashly categorize people and put them into little boxes. Having done that, they are not beyond giving severe tongue lashings to those that fall in the wrong box or those in the right box when they step out of line by their reckoning. By nature they are not exactly a diplomatic critic—even when dealing with the ones they most love.

Dogs are most compatible with : Horse, Tiger, Rabbit
